Financing the Reset
Event Details
Following our previous sessions on Defining the Humanitarian Resetand Localisation and Power Shifts, this session will explore the financial dimensions of the Humanitarian Reset. We will examine the evolving landscape of humanitarian financing, including challenges such as global austerity, shrinking budgets, and the increasing emphasis on locally led approaches.
The one-hour session will bring together experts from OCHA, ICVA and NGO practitioners to explore how the Reset is unfolding in practice, its objectives, and the implications for humanitarian financing. The first 40 minutes will feature guided discussions from each speaker, followed by a 20-minute Q&A, providing Canadian humanitarian organizations the opportunity to engage directly with the panel and discuss how the Reset impacts their work.
An output of the webinar will be a synthetic document highlighting three practical recommendations for integrating Humanitarian Reset principles into programming and advocacy.
